Welcome and thank you for visiting St. Alban’s website.
Maybe you came here because you were just surfing the web. Maybe you came here because you are church shopping. Whatever it is that brought you to our website you are most welcome and we appreciate the time you spend with us. Let me tell you just a little about who we are and what we are about.
St. Alban’s is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee, which, in turn, is part of The Episcopal Church, which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which is part of Christ’s one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church. As Anglicans, we are catholic and protestant, reformed and reforming, faithful and searching, contemplative and active. St. Alban’s is an old parish, established in the early 1840s. But, don’t let our age fool you. We are an active, vibrant and welcoming community of Christian men, women and children, who seek to follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ by serving God through service of our neighbor, no matter who that neighbor might be. St. Alban’s is an active supporter of Sussex Area Outreach Services (SOS) and the food pantry. We enjoy our relationships with each other and have fun together. And while we are proud of our long history, we look with hope to the future as we live our mission as modern day disciples of the Crucified and Risen Christ: baptizing, teaching, and sharing our faith with the community and the world. We continue to strive to do this through worship, formation opportunities, outreach, and serving one another in joy.
The source of our community and our strength for service is derived from our worship. We worship God through Word and Sacrament; sharing the sacred scriptures and celebrating the Holy Eucharist every Sunday. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion from our table. No matter who you are: gender, race, social or economic background, orientation or marital status God has a deep and abiding interest and love for you. So, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, a seeker, a doubter, or a disciple, we invite you to find a place of welcome and fellowship here. We are grateful for your visit and your interest and we invite you to come and worship with us soon.
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church welcomes you!
